Dear Parent/Guardian,

All too soon the term has ended and the academic year has commenced. We thank God Almighty for bringing us this far. We sincerely thank you for your tremendous contributions to the success of the 3rd graduation and speech/prize giving day organized on the 5th of August, 2017,and wish you God’s blessing.

Please take note of the following activities for this term:

Payment of School Fees

Management wishes to remind Parents and Guardians that fees are to be paid in full at the beginning of the academic term for pupils to be given the necessary materials to work with. Pupils who still owe the school from previous terms are advised to duly settle all amounts owed. Thank you.

Excursion

The term’s programme of the activities includes organizing an excursion. The date, venue and amount will be communicated in due course.

Feeding

Management will again like to remind parents about the payment of feeding fee which runs from Basic to JHS (please note that Pre-School do not pay feeding fee). The cost of feeding per child for a day is GHȻ4.00 (Four Ghana Cedis). Payment can be made in advance for a week, a month or for the whole term. Please be reminded that feeding runs on ‘pay as you go’ terms, and pupils who do not pay will not be served.

Transportation

Parents are advised to get their wards ready on time before the drivers arrive, as lateness would not be overlooked. Silence period starts at 7.15am, and lessons at 8.00am prompt. When you delay in getting your wards ready for school, they tend to miss the first lesson, which in the long run, goes to affect them. As such, please get them ready on time. Our transport services are very good. We have added to our pool vehicles that are more reliable. To a very large extent we are going to be on time so please parents should also help by waiting for the bus than the bus waiting for the kids. Thank you.

Revival of Talent Hunt

Talent Hunt is a program run by the school to help fish-out the hidden talents in your wards. The activities included are:

Civic Education      Drama & Debating        Sports                    Arts & Craft

Taekwondo             Red Cross                      Music                     Beads Making

Please discuss with your ward the activity he/she would like to undertake. Please be reminded that all activities come with a cost for the entire Academic Year. Your ward(s) will be bringing home the Talent Hunt forms, so you can help them to fill and return it to the school. Thank you.

Admissions

Management would like to remind all parents and guardians that admission is still on-going right from three (3) months (Pre-School) up to the JHS level. Please pass the information on to friends and family. Feel free to pass through the school to see the facilities and measures we have put in place to ensure that these children enjoy the very best in education.

Priesthood Meeting (P.T.A.)

The school will be having its Priesthood meeting for this term on Sunday, 1st October, 2017 at 2.30pm prompt. Please, it is compulsory for all parents and guardians to attend this meeting, as failing to attend will incur a fine which will be billed to your ward(s) account. Thank you.

Discipline

Please we wish to remind parents that the school takes its rules and regulations very seriously, some pupils fail to adhere to the school prescribed uniform considered to be proper dressing. We wish to draw parents’ attention to the following:-

  • Black shoes and White socks
  • Hair neatly cut or braided corn roll all back without any attachments
  • Prescribed uniforms for the various days must be worn
  • The uniform materials and sewing designs are available at the Accounts office.

We have in stock enough uniform materials for sale. Please contact the Accounts office for some.

Please supervise the homework of your wards and sign it to ensure that you have seen the homework and that it has been done. Some children return to the school with their books without doing their homework, some also do not bring back the homework books at all. Parent should take key interest in their wards academic affairs so that together we can shape the academic background of our wards. At least three home works are given each day as a minimum, sometimes it may be more. We do not give home work on Thursdays.

Parents should do well to avoid going to the classrooms during instructional periods that is to say from 7:15am to 3:30 pm since this will interrupt classes.

Extra class for JHS 1 to JHS 3 is compulsory. Lessons start at 7am and ends at 5pm. One hour in the morning and one and a half hours in the afternoon makes up to two and a half extended hours for the JHS department. This is to ensure that they complete the syllabus on time and have a lot of time for BECE preparation. This extended time is not a free service. Some children come late and miss this early morning classes. We advise that all pupils in JHS are encouraged to come to school early to take part in the morning class. Please note that if the children don’t meet suitable standard to be well prepared for the BECE, we may not register them. They must demonstrate beyond reasonable doubt that they are well prepared for the BECE.

Health and personal hygiene

A healthy body they say is a healthy mind, the children must be healthy to be able to learn. Please let’s seek medical attention for the children who are not well before they brought to the school. By the Ghana Education Service directive, we are not allowed as a school to administer any medication in the event where a child is not feeling well. We have to call the parent to come for the child. This may create inconveniences for the parent considering the fact that they have to drive from afar. In a nut shell children who are not well should stay home till they are medically fit before they report. For preschool children, parents should provide photocopies of their Health Insurance Cards for emergency situations.

Pupils’ finger nails should be neatly cut to ensure that germs are not passed into the human system when eating.

Food from the house should be properly packaged to ensure that it is kept warm till lunch time.
